Mindfulness

I graduated with a Master of Science (MSc) in Mindfulness with the University of Aberdeen in 2024 and have trained to teach (guide) Mindfulness with the Mindfulness Association (MA).

I have a deep interest in the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism, and have been studying on this path for over 30 years. I completed trainings in Mindfulness, Compassion, Insight and Wisdom with the Mindfulness Association and continue to attend Buddhist teachings.

I left my role at the MA recently in order to provide Mindfulness tuition and Mindful Art sessions from  home in West Wales.

MINDFULNESS PRACTICE - The Cultivation of a new daily habit with the potential to change your life.

The journey into Mindfulness is not an easy one. There is no quick fix. It is messy.

When we train in Mindfulness practice, we learn to go beneath the stories we tell ourselves that have been holding us back, we begin to notice how we think and how we react, and how our mind can sink into negative thought patterns without us even realising what's happening.

We find that by training the mind, and offering ourselves some kindness, we discover an innate capacity for joy and mental freedom that is always there and always has been there. We begin to notice "what's happening, while it's happening" in the present moment.

Mindfulness has the potential to radically change the way we think, the way we relate to our self - and to others - and to the world around us.

It is the most profound thing we CAN do to change our world for the better.
